What are progressive slot machines? What should they have? It is very exciting to play progressive Vegas slot machines but there are a few things we should know.
Progressive slot machines offer progressive jackpots that have a more exciting feature. The jackpot increases in amount as players use the machine. The meter counts the available jackpot in the machine and displays this through a meter window. The progressive meter may also add this machine fund with other funds from other networked machines.
When a player activates the winning combination specifically assigned for the progressive jackpot, the machine may give the payout outright, or an assigned slot attendant may do the payout. Once the jackpot is won, the progressive machine is reset with a key by the slot attendant and the jackpot fund is once again raised, and the game is again on. This re-start mechanism of the progressive machine, and all related components, must be approved by the Board. Progressive meters monitoring and displaying the jackpot should be well secured as per requirement of the gaming Board. Even the location of the progression meter should be approved by the Board.
All linked slot machines in this progressive jackpot scheme should be uniform in coin and denomination requirements and other governing rules as may be deemed fit by the establishment and per approval of the Board. In some cases, different coin denominations may be possible and different coin requirement may be observed as long as the payout will also be adjusted accordingly for fair play. And this should be notified to the gaming public and the Board.
